Claudia is a former Moruya High School student who has recently joined the team at the Bay Post/Moruya Examiner and Narooma News as a journalist.
A late addition to the Eurobodalla Stars line-up, she hopes to rally together as much support from the community as she can.
“When I was working at Merimbula News Weekly last year I was asked to dance in the Bega Valley event and I said ‘no way!’ When I was approached again this year, I thought I should give it a go because there aren’t many things that push me out of my comfort zone - this is definitely going to be something,” she said.
You may know Claudia from the Broulee Surfers Surf Life Saving Club or the Batemans Bay Seahawks Women’s Aussie Rules team.
“I hope some of my sporting abilities can transfer to dancing - maybe I should incorporate them into my routine,” she laughed.
During her time as a journalist, Claudia has been touched by stories of families who have been affected by cancer and feels inspired to fundraise for the cause.
“I will have to think beyond the old school Cadbury chocolate boxes to reach the fundraising goal, but I am determined,” she said.
